Market Check – Spring/Mid Summer Data – Fall Outlook

August is here, and summer vacations are mostly behind us.  As we enter the fall season, it is typical for the housing market to cool slightly.  During the spring/early summer, home buyers faced intense competition in their search for the perfect home.  Of course, this made the achievement of purchasing a home even more rewarding.  The charts below gives us a view of Hartford County and the state’s market pricing data. This data comes directly from Connecticut’s Multiple Listing Service (SmartMLS Stats).  Note that the peak typically occurs in June-July.
